This past Thursday I had my first overnight stay without a monitor beside my head. I headed to a girlfriends cottage to have a little get away. “I so needed that!” It was a bit of a commitment to get there and back and I even thought of backing out just to make it easier on everyone and even on me. The mom guilt also started coming on strong. But then I realized it’s ok to step away. To take a breath. Tanner was also on board so that helped 🙏🏻 So I downloaded an audio book “5 Little Indians”, made a Honesense stop in Barrie and continued on my way. To sit amongst women who you share history with is always needed. To gain perspective on life events, on family decisions and to realize we are all in this together. It’s also nice to gossip, to drink some wine and go for late night swims/ sauna sessions. Thank you @chriswinks @jennifercgordon and @mworboy (we missed you @kim3kennedy ) I’m forever grateful for your friendships 💕
